Casey Vilensky of Lynn Valley Forge and Zensky Knives, will lead this intensive three day clinic. Participants will come away having learned the basics of designing and executing the build of a pattern welded steel knife.

Casey established Lynn Valley Forge in 2018. A bladesmith that believes in function first, with comfort and eye catching beauty close behind.

Casey specializes in intricate mosaic Damascus steel and his knives are strongly influenced by the style of Japanese knife makers, while using modern forging techniques. His creations are forged from high carbon steel and finished with a combination of local sourced and exotic timbers stabilized in-house.

With each detail meticulously planned and a scientific approach to heat treatment, every blades hardness is tested and grain structure monitored. This uncompromising approach to quality is evident in every knife crafted by Lynn Valley Forge.

Participants will work start to finish on a Damascus knife build. Intermediate skills necessary as we start right in on day one welding the billets that will eventually turn into a handled and sharp beautiful tool by Sunday afternoon.
