After many requests of this type of workshop on Salt Spring, we’re pleased to offer one on April 11,12th 2026.

This will be a very basic level course and content may vary depending on participants enrolled.

Content will include: safety around the equipment, common techniques for working in the forge and equipment, some warm up projects to learn some of the skills, a more focused project, and time permitting perhaps some self directed projects.

Possible projects: Hooks, spoons, simple knives, bottle openers, candle snuffers, fireplace tools…

Participants will be accepted for both days only, and a deposit will be taken to hold your spot. First come- first served.

No previous experience necessary.

Items to bring: gloves if desired, safety glasses (madatory), hearing protection, shoes that fully cover the feet and long pants/sleeved shirts. Water, lunch and snacks.

Cost is $250 for both days.
